The Swamp Bats
The Swamp Bats came to life in April of 2012 as an original blues/rock project. Our original music is passionate and fiery with lots of subtlety and nuance.
The three veteran musicians in this powerful trio have combined voices and written some very strong music in a short period of time. The music combines Delta Blues (i.e. Swamp) and Austin Blues (i.e. Bats) into high energy and original experience. Steve Klotz (Vocals and Guitars) has been playing in the Austin music scene for over 20 years and brings a unique voice on the slide and lead guitars. Jeff Chavez (Drums/Percussion) has also been in the Austin music scene for 20+ years and brings energetic and powerful stylings to the songs. Jack Schultz (Bass Guitar) is new to the Austin scene, but is a veteran at bringing some deep musical grooves and solid foundations.
