Michael Milligan and Texiana Bluez

2019 Austin Blues Society Award Nominee - Best Band

Michael Milligan and Texiana Bluez describe their unique sound as "Texas Blues with Louisiana Attitude". This is what happened when they combined their ethnic mixture of original sounds.

Front man/harmonica player/lead singer Michael Milligan (former front man for Delta Roux) brings to the group powerful vocals, often compared to Junior Medlow, and a unique harp style that is definitely his own. Michael is a veteran musician who has displayed his talents all over Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Washington State, Oregon, California, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, South Dakota and Western Europe.

Milligan, with his band the Altar Boyz, was the first band to represent the Austin Blues Society at the International Blues Competition. He returned to the IBC competition in 2014 representing the San Angelo Blues Society, when he made the semi-finals.

"Milligan really is a superb vocalist, able to deliver a lyric with meaning and passion" says Andy Snipper of" Music Matters"(U.K.)
