The Anthony Wright Band
The Anthony Wright Band is based out of Schertz/New Braunfels TX with a sound that leans toward a mixture of blues rock and southern rock. Starting back in June 2013 as a cover band, the band has since then expanded to playing original material alongside covers of other artists.
They have performed at multiple venues spanning San Antonio to Austin, including Bluebonnet Palace, The Cove, Boho Bites, Phoenix Saloon, Brass House Tavern, Barriba Cantina, and many others.
The band has opened for 7-time Grammy winning country artist Steve Wariner in August 2014, and were two-time finalists in the Austin Blues Society Heart of Texas Blues Challenge (2014 and 2015). They won the Riverfest Battle of the Bands competition at the Arneson Theater in downtown San Antonio in January 2016.
Each member's different musical backgrounds combined with their talent, tight chemistry, and unpredictability makes for an explosive, dynamic and diverse sound.
