The Austin Blues Society is pleased to announce the finalists for the inaugural edition of the Austin Blues Society Awards!
These awards are intended to recognize outstanding Austin-based artists who have promoted the blues genre through their live performances and recordings. A panel of local music industry veterans, media personalities, reporters, and venue operators were asked to make nominations for the finalists in each category, and those with the most nominations were selected for the five finalist slots.
Voting for the winner in each category will be conducted online by the Austin Blues Society membership. If you haven't already joined the Austin Blues Society, or you need to renew your membership, there is currently a special 50% discount offer good until the end of July!
A link to a voting ballot will be sent to via email - each person receiving a ballot can vote only once in each category.
In order to receive a voting ballot link, you need to be a current member of the Austin Blues Society and have registered your email with us, or you need to sign up for our newsletter with your email. Only persons with active email addresses registered with us will receive a ballot link! Ballot links will be sent out on or before July 16th, 2018.
The awards presentation for the winners will take place at the Eastside Kings Festival opening night show - Friday, September 7th, 2018 at C-Boy's Heart & Soul! We'd like to thank festival founder and organizer Eddie Stout for providing us the opportunity to announce the winners at this fantastic blues event!
