The Solo/Duo portion of the Heart of Texas Blues Challenge was held Thursday, July 7th at the Brass House. This year's slate of competitors was comprised of:
• Mike and Amber
• Jacques Bergeon
• Blues Train(er)
Each of the artists gave crowd-pleasing and memorable performances, spanning a wide range of blues influences.
After tallying the points awarded by our panel of five judges, the winner of this year's solo/duo competition is Jacques Bergeon, who will be representing Austin in the solo/duo category at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis!!
The Austin Blues Society would like to thank all three acts who competed this year – they displayed great talent and presence, and we look forward to seeing much more from them all!
Thanks also go out to our panel of judges:

A special thanks to our 2015 HOTBC solo/duo winner Trimmed & Burning, for their wonderful closing evening performance!
